Welcome to the Y International Program! Designed for Americans & Internationals living in the New River Valley. Provides an opportunity to meet Americans. Chance to learn about life in our community. Opportunities to learn about U.S. culture. All religions and nationalities are welcome; this program has no religious affiliation. All International Programs are free of charge and provide free child care/nursery.

April 30- Pot some Flowers or Veggies Learn about potting and take home your potted flower or veggie May 7- Mothers Bring a picture of your mother and share her with us. May 14-Visit to Marge's Garden May 21- Trip to Montgomery County Museum and lunch at Park May 28- Hand in Hand with Pizza at the Klauses    "Mornings" meets weekly on Wednesdays to bring international people and Americans together for friendship and support. "Mornings" is free and registration is not required. Children are welcome and child care/nursery is provided.     At "Mornings" you can: Practice and Improve your English. Learn about American culture and customs.  Meet Families from around the world and learn about their culture. Ask questions and get help in finding your way around town. Besides having conversations on diverse topics, simple writing tasks, pronunciation and grammar will also be taught. Children are welcome! Do you need house-hold items, clothes, computers, children's toys? Visit the YMCA Thrift Shop now at 1000 North Main Street, Blacksburg, (bus stop just past Progress Street going north). We have moved into our new, beautifully renovated Y Center.	Movie Club is Back!! The Movie Club meets every other Friday at 10:00 am. We will show a selection of American and International films. A discussion will follow.  Please join us at the Cranwell International Center (behind the tennis courts on Washington Street)! Volunteer! It's Fun!    A variety of opportunities are available for volunteers, including tutoring in English, presenting a program or craft, sharing a slide show, or just offering your friendship.
