Payroll Deduction or Virginia Tech Foundation
Virginia Tech employees can make charitable contributions to the YMCA at Virginia Tech through payroll deduction. Contact us if you wish to learn more about this option through the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC). It is important to note that if you choose to donate through the CVC, the YMCA at VT only learns the names of who donated the following year that the donation was made. Please feel free to notify us of your pledge and we will limit our soliciation contact with you for the year and acknowledgeof your donation sooner.
Donations can also be made through the Virginia Tech Foundation to the YMCA at Virginia Tech. While we are not a part of the university, nor do we receive funding, our long history with Virginia Tech has allowed us to have an account with the foundation. Foreign Currency
YMCA at Virginia Tech accepts foreign currency. The YMCA gives gift credit in US dollars for the value of the donation based on current exchange rates as of the day of receipt. There are instances where the YMCA can incur substantial bank fees to process foreign currency gifts and checks drawn on foreign banks and the fees associated with these types of gifts outweigh the gifts themselves.
