Please join our cause of strengthening community by making a year-end contribution to the YMCA at Virginia Tech. With your financial support; dedication to volunteering; and donation of goods and services the Y is able to continue to deliver community focused programs in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Through our programs we are strengthening the New River Valley.

At the YMCA at Virginia Tech, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve, the Y is dedicated to youth development. Our youth programs, in partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools and other local agencies support the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. In 2012, we will implement new trainings and develop additional resources to support our volunteer tutors and program leaders in providing high quality academic mentoring programs for school age youth. Currently, the Y serves more than 100 local youth in one-on-one tutoring, after school academic enrichment programs each week.
Your donation will sustain and improve Thrift Shop operations. All donations and revenue stays within the New River Valley, as we reinvest in programs and services that strengthen the foundations of communities.
Your support provides resources that will allow us to continue our work around fostering a culture and appreciation for the arts. At the Y, we strive to provide the skills and knowledge program participants need to have rich encounters with art that keep them coming back for more: the ability to see, hear and feel what art has to offer; to create within an art form; and to interpret and draw deeper meaning from works of art as appreciation grows. At the Y Center, we witness the power of art daily through dance, pottery and arts calsses.
