The YMCA at Virginia Tech builds community by:

• providing volunteer opportunities for thousands of community members and students.
• providing free tutoring and teacher-aide volunteers.
• recycling over 60 tons of textiles and 40 tons of electronics each year.
• providing the only public-use single-stream recycling bin (plastics #1-#7, glass, metal, etc) in the region.
• developing a community pottery studio and permanent sustainable agriculture park & community gardens.
• ...and, most of all, bringing diverse audiences together through learning, leadership & service.
